Mind dropped into morning

Mind dropped into morning,
fell through skirts of dawn,
huddled into memory,
sheltered from the truth.
Shaken through the dreaming,
pain did litter day,
scattered through deep fearing –
hope had lost her way.

As such, this weekend we are asking for a thirty-three word free-write. - See more at: http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/2013/07/trifextra-week-seventy-five.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+trifectawritingchallenge%2FIazs+%28Trifecta%29#sthash.dwxpih2y.dpuf

  4. I really enjoyed the images that your word choice stirred up in my mind =) 'huddled' 'dropped' 'scattered' 'shaken.' Very nice.

  5. There's some lovely imagery in this, and it taps right into emotions I wish weren't quite so familiar.

  9. Those first two lines in particular are just stellar, but the whole poem ought to be set to music, in my opinion.

  10. Drop dead first line!
I love the way it falls and crumbles, never quite recovering..
