Tender petalled cystus,
fragile glowing pink,
sighs on stems so certain;
silently she sings.
When the day is drawn,
quietly you close,
settling glorious spread;
drawn for night's repose.

This is so lovely!
ReplyDeletefor me it's always a bit of magic when the flowers close their petals for the night... and i too like listening to their songs...
ReplyDeletei like the gentle rhythm in this...it is a pretty flower...sighs on stems...i like that...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great little ballad.. The simplicity combined with a metaphorical layer makes me think of Robert Blake. Very good.
ReplyDeleteSoft and beautiful! I love it so.
ReplyDeleteA poem and delicate and beautiful as the flower itself.
