We tie ourselves to life and times,
to people, moments, form,
with tidy bows of need and love;
reciprocal presumed.
And yet life calls for letting go,
at junctions on the path,
demands we loose the ties that bind;
challenges our hearts.
In sorrow's shadow do we rest,
hold hands with deepest grief,
to give the gift of freedom;
release, set others free.
For love cannot be ever bound,
or held in our control,
in sylphic freedom it expands;
embraces rise and fall.
to people, moments, form,
with tidy bows of need and love;
reciprocal presumed.
And yet life calls for letting go,
at junctions on the path,
demands we loose the ties that bind;
challenges our hearts.
In sorrow's shadow do we rest,
hold hands with deepest grief,
to give the gift of freedom;
release, set others free.
For love cannot be ever bound,
or held in our control,
in sylphic freedom it expands;
embraces rise and fall.
