Da, da, da

Da, da, da, danced leaping lettered life,
song-constructed, washed solid, born
in mortality, re-made, brittle clouds, as
blackened sun, turning through the
realms of wild imagination, powdered
tears, delightful fears; minuet of
moments made of ice, frozen in fire,
draining diamonds through the crust
of frothing leaf, obedient tree, waiting
for the sound of re-awakened death;
Saturn smiles in steady drum, da, da
da........

  1. great opening with the alliteration...it gives a strong sense of movement...powdered tears was another interesting thought...it would be salt mostly i would think, but still conveying the meaning perhaps...to end on dadada again gives this a sing song feel too...

  4. Nice rhythm to this poem, with that lovely alliteration in the first line. I also like the obedient tree - I don't know why, but it sparks some images in my head.

  5. Many Dadaist components in this one--sound, alliteration, disparate images like powdered tears and brittle clouds. You really "got it.".

  6. The powdered tears stand out as an especially strong image.. I can see this as a comment to Man Ray Photography... his tears really had a dada connection. The sounds and rhythm works wonder.

  8. Myriads of images and a lot of movements and mobility. It is like going for a journey. The dada feel and flow are very apparent. Wonderful write Roslyn!
