The Sea Inside

Depths of darkened ocean draw down on psyche's skirts,
call to salty drownings of memory and suffocated mind,
in waves of deep emotion, rolling, roiling across time;
so does the sea inside drift in wash across life's hurts.

Mysterious and dark in crusted vision Self does swim,
as angels sing like sirens to loosen knotted ropes,
the broken mast of truth has splintered all our hopes;
that voyage to return to where we started, does begin.

Slow falling into being, eyes wide which cannot see,
descending through the fathoms of lost and broken days,
driven hard on hidden wrecks, that belief would try to raise;
so does the Soul surrender, and floats on,  forever free.
