Alice ticked off every day,
carefully and sure,
this adventure was unique;
life so madly drawn.
It was a journey unexpected,
arrival never known,
and yet she plunged abandoned;
such courage surely shown.
Speedily the time did draw,
moments into place,
something notable was born;
Advent seen as grace.

Hmmm..this is a brief yet cool look comparing Alice's courage to Advent's hope ;)
ReplyDeletethe journey that we make in advent to an adventure that still takes my breath away...well spun...
ReplyDeleteOh what a nice ballad.. I think it's well done given some of Lewis Carroll's poetry.. and bringing Alice into advent by the Calendar works so well..
ReplyDeleteI also appreciate your comparison's.
ReplyDeleteReally sweet read redeeming poor Alice some.
