Friends

Friends cannot be made like something cobbled
together; formed, shaped, constructed to order
as if they had been made to fit you and your life,
when in fact, friendship is something which happens;
is born, unknowingly and without plan and often
without reason or even desire; in that way Souls
have of connecting, of bonding and of being, so
that in the union of two, something greater is
brought to birth and hearts and minds may join,
in a weaving of time, thought, love and creation,
which in eternal silence, sings the song written,
long ago, in  careful  cadenced notes, remembered
and forgotten, for two, pure, exceptional voices.

    1. I am not so sure we would pick the wrong people but probably the 'safe' ones.

  2. And it takes time, endless patience, happy randomness - a lovely idea!

    1. My experience is that true friendship, which just happens, is random certainly but does not take time, it is instant, nor patience, because you just click.

    1. I think it seems random but in a cosmic and spiritual sense it is anything but.

  5. Beautiful explanation of how friendship grows~it has to be fertilized and tilled. I have had many so called friends that did not give back-that is not true friendship. We are blessed to have even one true good friend in this life. Mine is my identical twin sister.

    1. You are blessed. To have a sibling as a true friend is precious. I am greatly blessed because my husband is my soulmate and best friend. We have known each other for 45 years and been married for 43 and that is how we began and how we remain.

  6. "for two pure exceptional voices" - so well said, It constantly amazes me how we find each other online, connections deeper with some than others, according to what we reveal in our work that speaks to one another.........it is one of the great blessings of my later years! Maybe THE greatest.

    1. We find each other because we are connected across space and time - all is one and our energy body - signature song or notes - will resonate with some wherever they are. The internet just expands material options.
