Drudgery

It is a state of mind
to see as drudgery,
a task we do not wish
to do; or one which
cannot please.
We tell ourselves
it is a chore, when
truth would call it
life, and ask that
it be honoured in
body and in time.
The act can have
no meaning, unless
we make it so, and
choose the words
with which we paint
the moments
as they come.

Choose a domestic task that you find full of drudgery and try to report it with reverence.
