There is the world material,
where bricks and mortar
make, a house which can
become a home; a place
where we can rest.
There is the world ethereal,
where thoughts will form
the shape, and love cements
it all in time;
divines our Soul's true place.
And then there is the spiritual,
where both are set in stone,
and mind and body, heart
and soul do truly
find their home.
Trifecta, this week's challenge. a : a familiar or usual setting : congenial environment; also :the focus of one's domestic attention <home is where the heart is>

I love this, Roslyn. I like the echo of brick/mortar, cement, stone throughout. Really nice.

This is beautiful, especially the ending where the mind, body and soul find their home.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written poem and nice take on the prompt.
ReplyDeletei like how you cemented everything into the concept of home. very well done and very well written. i glanced over a few of your other short pieces, and you are a great writer. (:
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteYou have hit the nail on the head. The concept of home is far more than bricks and mortar and a few sticks of furniture.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much to everyone who left a post. It is nice to 'meet' you all and wonderful to have feedback.
