The rules

The world abounds  in countless rules,
in shoulds and musts, demands,
which seek  to keep us safe and sure
and play the game of mind. 
And yet there is no certainty,
no place which can be held,
as absolute and gauranteed;
just life as it unfurls. 
We waste our time demanding,
 that things are writ in stone,
for all  is just unfolding,
and change still rules our world.
