Spring

Spring of teal plays nautical,
hawsers set in flight,
secured upward curvature;
released from deepest hide.

Flinging wash of moment,
season rises fast,
mattress for the Summer;
blossoms quickly cast.

Equinox is vernal,
solstice beckons strong,
power is coil eternal;
seed in bursting song.

  1. I love the colour and movement in your Quadrille, Roslyn. My favourite lines are the opening line, Flinging wash of moment'and 'power is coil eternal'. Thanks for joining us and sharing your poem.

  2. I like the blossoms making a mattress for summer. It looks like the hawsers are uncoiled for spring to burst into song.
