Planets forever spinning,
angels tangle spread,
gifts of wings reclining;
souls do gently tread.
Slowly say the spirits,
endeavour to be sound,
life will be the loser,
if lunatics abound.
Daemons laugh out loud,
dance on human plans,
spacecraft is mind eternal;
settled in God's hands.

How well this reads. Sadly lunatics do abound; mainly in government.
ReplyDeleteThe gentle flow of this reads like a children's prayer to be said before bed...i love how the darkness is under the bed in the last verse...makes it quite formidable...and brilliant
ReplyDeleteThere's music here that comes alive when the poem is read aloud. Wondrous!
ReplyDeleteA Tiny Whirlwind
Lovely rhythmic poetry.
ReplyDeleteluv the meter, luv the rhymes
ReplyDeletemine is here
much love...
Delightful.
ReplyDeleteThis brings, easily, to mind the vision of demons laughing and dancing on our human plans.
ReplyDeleteI read this aloud because it begs for it...I agree with Pearl; you should read it out loud too. It has delightful sounds throughout and words that literally roll off the tongue. Very nice.
